Reader Reward Card terms and conditions

The Reader Reward Card entitles the bearer to ONE free reservation or ONE free DVD rental or ONE free Blu-ray film rental or TWO free CD rentals after they have borrowed item(s) on six separate dates. The free reservation or rental can be claimed on the same day as the sixth loan takes place.

  1. The card should be surrendered when claiming the free rental / reservation.
  2. Any outstanding fees and charges on a borrower’s card must be paid in full before a Reader Reward Card can be redeemed.
  3. When claiming your free rental please be aware that any subsequent fines for late returns and/or renewal fees will be charged at standard rates.
  4. The free rental does not count as one of the six Reward scheme loans.
  5. Borrowers may only operate one Reader Reward Card at any time.
  6. For items to count towards the Reward scheme, they must be borrowed and returned on different days.
  7. Online renewals or renewals at the library where the item is not present do not count towards the Reward scheme.
  8. Reader Reward stamps must be collected when items are borrowed. The only occasion when Reader Reward stamps can be issued retrospectively is when a Self service kiosk receipt is exchanged for a Reader Reward stamp.
  9. Southwark libraries will endeavour to advise of any changes to this promotion, but reserves the right to cancel, amend or suspend the promotion at any time without prior notice.
