Your Southwark Library card is now also your Southwark Presents card a passport to culture in your borough. Not only do card holders get great offers and discounts at a number of cultural destinations throughout Southwark, you'll also be able to enjoy free access to 12 libraries across the borough- including free eBooks and eAudio, PC and WiFi use, study space and a wide range of books, DVDs, CDs and magazines.
If you’d like to join, complete the online library membership application.
When you join online, you'll be given a temporary membership number which will expire after one month. If you wish to become a permanent library member, visit any Southwark library to collect your free Southwark Presents card. This will give you access to the library as well as offers and discounts at a range of local cultural partners.
To receive your card, you'll need to bring your temporary membership number and one form of identity (ID) with your full name and current address, such as:
- a recent utilities bill (last six months)
- rent / child benefit / pension book
- current driving licence
- bank / credit card statement (last six months)
- building society book
If you don’t want to join online visit your nearest Southwark library and ask for a joining form from a member of staff. Once you’ve completed the form you’ll need to show one proof of identity (ID) which has your current address.
If you’re under 18, a parent or carer will need to sign the form as your guarantor.
If you’re registered disabled, let us know when you join as you’re entitled to a range of concessions.
