Housing support for private renters

The government has published a series of how to guides for the private rented sector.

You can get advice on tenancy and rental issues if:

• you’re not sure if your tenancy deposit is protected
• you don't have a tenancy agreement, or you don't understand it
• your landlord isn't meeting safety standards
• your landlord or their agent is bothering or harassing you at home
• your landlord is trying to evict you
• you've asked your landlord for repairs or complained about conditions in your home
• you need free and confidential advice because you’re in debt
• you want to check if you can afford a property
• you need a checklist for renting a property
