Tenants and Homeowners Forums

Find out about the Tenant Forum, Homeowner Forum and Joint Tenants and Homeowners Forum and how to join.

About the forums

The purpose of these forums will be to provide a place where tenant and homeowner representatives can:

  • help to shape and improve the council’s housing services, and ensure residents can raise any concerns they have about the management of the council’s housing services and homes
  • be consulted by the council on key council policy changes that particularly impact on people living in council owned homes, including the setting of rents and service charges
  • advise and support the council in how it can better involve residents
  • receive updates on the performance and delivery of housing services

The Tenants Forum will focus on tenant specific issues and the Homeowners Forum will focus on homeowner specific issues. Members of both the Tenants and Homeowners Forums will meet regularly jointly to look at issues which affect both tenants and leaseholders.

The Tenants and Homeowners Forums meetings are made up of residents who live in the borough and who were voted for by other local residents. Find a full list of all those elected at the December 2020 Local Housing Forum meetings (pdf, 283kb).

The next Tenant and Homeowner Forum meetings are set to take place early 2021. Details of these meetings will be published nearer the date.
