Being a healthy weight

Maintaining a healthy weight is important for your overall health. Becoming overweight or obese increases your risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer.

If you're overweight or obese, losing weight has many health benefits. Making small simple changes to what and how much you're eating and drinking and your level of activity can help you lose weight.
