How to get free emergency contraception (morning after pill or coil) from a local sexual health service, GP or pharmacy, and contact a helpline for sexual health problems and advice.

Where to find emergency contraception

If you live in Southwark and need emergency contraception (the morning after pill), you can order emergency contraception for free from Sexual Health London.

The morning after pill is also available from your GP or local pharmacy. Some pharmacies charge for this service.

If you’re under the age of 18 you can also get emergency contraception from the young people’s walk-in sexual health clinic at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust at Streatham Hill on Wednesdays 2pm to 6pm.

The National Sexual Health Helpline

If you'd like to talk to someone about a sexual health issue, call the national Sexual Health Helpline free on 0300 123 7123. Your call will be treated with sensitivity and in strict confidence. The Sexual Health Helpline is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 4pm. You can also visit the Sexwise website for sexual health advice.
