Keep Southwark Safe

Housing repairs and maintenance

We are currently undertaking essential repairs only to ensure that we can respond quickly if you need immediate help. We aren’t currently logging any routine repairs and we will update you when we are taking routine reports again.

Essential repairs can be reported 24 hours a day to our call centre on 0800 952 4444.

If you have any general queries regarding repair we ask that you email us at repairs@southwark.gov.uk to keep the phone lines free for those residents who need our help urgently.

Instructional videos to help you do some repairs

We have a number of instructional videos that show you how easy it is to do some home repairs yourself. You'll not only save time and money, but you'll gain new skills.

Leaks that occur from another property

Our Leaks from Above team are still working as normal to respond to leaks that occur from another property into your home.

Fire safety repairs

We are still carrying out as many estate inspections as we can safely to ensure that communal and fire safety repairs are reported and repaired as quickly as possible.

Changes when we visit your home

When you report an emergency repair and when the operative visits your home we will ask you some questions about anyone who is in your home at the time. This is to protect you and your household as well as the operatives that are working hard across the borough to continue our repairs service. We will also tell you about the changes you will need to make when we visit you; this includes wearing a mask and socially distancing when we are in your home. Our operatives and repairs partners will always have PPE when we need it and will listen to any concerns that you have at the time of our visit.
