Learning and engagement

Learning and engagement is an essential part of Southwark heritage’s role within the community. Whether it is handling real objects from around the world or items from Southwark’s past, using our resources or joining in an activity - our team will bring it all to life.

Future plans

A new learning and engagement programme is being planned to help you make the most of the fantastic resources held in our collections. Objects, archives and artworks will be used in innovative ways to provide children, young people and adults with opportunities to learn about the rich and diverse history of our borough.

Sessions will provide schools, families, community groups and those who wish to learn independently with the use of handling collections, online services and a range of downloadable resources.

We will update this page with new information on the programme in due course.
