Description

Veronica McKenzie’s film Finding Home (2014) is Southwark Archives' choice for Film of the Month. LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and migrants from Uganda, Hungary, and Spain talk about their experiences of living in their countries of birth and how through often difficult circumstances they come to the UK, where they are building new lives. Commissioned by Southwark LBGTQ+ Network. Filmed across the borough of Southwark. Produced by Reel Brit Productions.
This film contains references to sexual abuse, trauma, discrimination and hate crime which viewers may find distressing.
