DescriptionCome to our free workshop in celebration of LGBTQ+ History month in Southwark! In this casual evening session, we'll learn about the connections between Cockney Rhyming Slang and the historic gay slang of Polari. Using material from the archives and museum collections, including illustrations, objects and oral history, we'll create our own poetic collages and codes in recognition of the ingenuity, creativity and resilience of Southwark's historic LGBTQ+ communities.
