Description
This Black History Month in Southwark is all about Black Joy - placing resilience, resistance and reclamation at the heart of Black storytelling.
Led by acclaimed writer, actor and facilitator, Nicole Acquah, these workshops take Black Joy and Black History as the starting points to create and perform original monologues as part of a wider community performance on Blue Elephant’s stage.
A chance to meet new people, develop creative skills and celebrate Black experiences, workshops take place on Wednesday evenings from September 20th to October 18th from 7.15pm to 9.15pm. Performances are on the evenings of October 20th and 21st.
To request to join, please email niamh@blueelephanttheatre.co.uk. Participants should be Southwark residents and 18 and over.
