Description
From opium smoking to gambling, the gin craze and sex trade, Malcolm Russell, author of Mudlark’d: Hidden Histories from the River Thames explores how mudlarking reveals the history of vice in London. Many objects associated with the city’s vices and the venues in which they were practised found their way into the River Thames. Malcolm has spent the past five years recovering evidence of these often-controversial behaviours from the Thames foreshore and shares what he has learned in this talk.Transport
