An evening with writer, composer and teacher Sam Kenyon about his debut novel ‘I am not Raymond Wallace’, which explores queer lives across three time periods, three generations, and two continents.
In October 1963, Raymond Wallace arrives in the offices of the New York Times to assist veteran hack Robert Doty on an article entitled ‘Growth of Overt Homosexuality in City Provokes Wide Concern.’ In his research, Raymond meets and falls in love with Joey. The decision Raymond subsequently makes ricochets down the years and through the lives of numerous characters until, forty years later, in Paris in 2003, Raymond’s son Joe begins to piece everything together.
Sam will read from his novel, followed by a Q&A.
