COUNT DOWN COMMUNITY FUN RUN 5K is an annual event which aims to bring people living and working in Southwark Council to come together and walk, jog or run 5 kilometers.
Participants can race for themselves or someone else.

Description
The event will take place at Burgess Park, Camberwell Entrance SE5 7LA, on Saturday 3rd September. Participants are expected to arrive at 10am, race commencing at 11am. The 5K or 3.1miles race is in aim to raise awareness on health and wellbeing in the community. Leading to the race, people living and working in Southwark are encouraged to join the weekly Parkrun in their local park's to train as a group or individual.On the race day, all participants who completed the race will receive a finishers medal. Light refreshments of fruits (banana and oranges) and including water will be provided on the day. Supporting literatures from various health organisation, such as Breast Cancer UK, Prostate Cancer UK and mental health organisations will be invited to share literatures on health awareness.
The duration of the event is expected to last maximum of 3 hours, not included set up and closing time.
