Come and explore Southwark today, a new temporary exhibition opening on the 6 June 2022 in the new Southwark Heritage Centre and Walworth Library.
Design studio Syrup, who have designed, produced and co-curated this exhibition, worked with a range of community groups to creatively draw out and document their
stories, expanding our understanding of Southwark’s recent history both today and for the future.

The exhibition includes:

  • New work by the Camberwell Incredibles
  • Art by Hayley Wall
  • A film about La Liga women’s football league, made with Justyna Kabala
  • Community action group showcase, including Peckham Vision, Latin Elephant, and underground DIY LGBTIQA+ collective, The Chateau
  • One Picture My Story -  an oral history project from Southwark Archives about the lives of older black residents
