Talk: Art of the Rave Flyer with Junior Tomlin
Join artist Junior Tomlin, dubbed ‘the Salvador Dali of Rave’ as he revisits his 1990s dance night flyers including designs made for local club Peckham Lazerdrome.
DescriptionThe talk not only explores the evolution of Tomlin’s signature style, flyer culture and it’s role in the rave scene, but also the visual language of sci-fi, afrofuturism and fantasy at the advent of the digital age.
This event runs alongside our free archive exhibition Shut the Club Down on at the Fire Station Gallery until 5 June 2022.
