Description

London – 1772
Street singer Sally Longtooth sings for her supper in Covent Garden, but high-class courtesan Harriot Lewis has loftier ambitions for the young beauty. Man of letters Ignatius Sancho tries to show the young dandy Julius Soubise that there’s more to life than fencing, horses, carriages, beautiful women and elegant clothes. This family - thrown together by happenstance – help lay the foundations of Black freedom on British soil.
