Description

This moving documentary is about race relations in the UK told through the personal testimonies of 14 former military personnel from the Caribbean and Britain. They share their experiences of serving in the Second World War and for those from the Caribbean who saw Britain as the ‘mother country’, they reveal how attitudes were to change towards them once they settled in the UK as civvies. Featuring interviews with former Mayor and councillor for Southwark, Sam King MBE.
