Event Details

What does a director actually do? What makes a good script? Why is editing so important? Over the course of this year, Bell House Films will answer these questions and many more with its series of ‘Filmmaking 101’ events.

Every month, an industry professional will host an online tutorial, where they will delve into the fundamentals of a specific filmmaking discipline.

Fourth tutorial: Directing

Filmmaking 101’s fourth tutorial will be covering directing and be hosted by writer/director Aidan Largey.

Who is this for?

For anyone and everyone with an interest in film, ‘Filmmaking 101’ is for you. You don’t need experience, you don’t need kit, you just need to bring your creativity and your curiosity.

About Aidan:

Aidan has written and directed award winning work for BBC, RTE and Screen Ireland and his work has been featured in industry publication’s INDIEWIRE, FILM SCHOOL REJECTS and CINEPHILIA AND BEYOND. He wrote and directed the crime miniseries ‘Farr’, as part of RTE’s Storyland commissioning, winning BEST DRAMA at the prestigious ITVFest in America. FARR is now being developed as a Primetime Drama Series with Aidan writing and directing. His latest short “Time and Again” was an Official Selection at BAFTA and OSCAR Qualifying festivals. His latest work as director is on episodes of the new series of BBC 3’s THE BREAK and the latest series of RTE’s Storyland. Aidan is currently casting for his debut feature film, which he is writing and directing.
