Fungus amongus: common mushrooms in England

Date & time

Date:18 May 2021

Time:7pm to 8pm

Event Details

Learn about the common mushrooms and fungi you can find in Britain. Fungi are everywhere in our lives and environment. They can teach us a lot about the world we live in and have been a key element in our ascent as a species. Some information about mushroom edibility can be provided but the focus of the talk is ecological and cultural rather than culinary.

Dan is an environmental writer and photographer with a focus on woods and trees, fungi, and macro photography. He hosts a podcast called “Unlocking Landscapes”, exploring the relationships between people and places

See more of Dan’s beautiful photos on Twitter @djgwild or on his website

This talk is free but we would like to suggest a donation of £5 which will be used in the restoration of the kitchen garden at Bell House. Book here.
