Have you realised that it's nearly the end of the 2010's? What a wild ride it has been! Or has it? It's probably been different for all of us. This is an invitation for 5 people to become part of a group art project, which will begin with us getting together and using creative thinking games to help us reflect on the last 10 years. Once the group has been established, we'll decide on how we want the project to work. We'll make a plan and think about what kind of work we'd like to make and how we might do that. We'll also decide on whether or not we're aiming for an exhibition at the end of the project. This is an opportunity for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and occupations get involved in a real life art project. You don't need to have any formal training or experience in making art. You could be: Someone who is enjoying art classes at school and keen to get more involved with the subject. Someone who is working a lot and keen to do something creative in the evening. Someone who went to art school but hasn't made work since leaving. Someone who has a very particular idea about the future. Someone who is scared of making things and would like a helping hand. Someone who makes art all the time, but never with others. Someone who loves working with others. This is open to ANYONE! All you need is the desire to express something and a willingness to work with other people. The project will be led by me, Rachel Sale. I'm an artist who is particularly interested in group projects. I am also the founder of F.A.T. Studio, were our sessions will be held. Feel free to get in touch with any questions about the project. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday 12th November 2019 from 18:00–20:00 *** F.A.T. Studio is a newly formed, artist-led Community Interest Company, which is running a 'Public Art & Design Studio' at AMP Gallery in Peckham throughout the month of November 2019. End of the Decade Club is one of many public activities that'll be happening at the space during this time. Visit out website for more information.
