The Movement Factory Stage – Back by popular demand, our dedicated dance tent run by award winning Southwark based dance collective The Movement Factory will be running an action packed day of dance workshops and performances for all ages and abilities.  There will also be lots of special guest appearances - not to mention prizes to be won throughout the day!

Zoom Zoom Zoom! – Non-stop storytelling for under-fives, parents and carers with Southwark’s Libraries team. Plus come and check out the winners of the Festival of Word’s poster competition themed on Southwark Park’s 150th Birthday.

Marawa’s Majorettes – Fall in love with hooping with Marawa's extraordinary award-winning hula-hooping troup, who will be running workshops and performances throughout the day.  Check workshop and performance times at the Create and Play area or information points.

Birthday card making with Bizzie Bodies – make a beautiful birthday card for the park, which you can take away with you or leave in the park to decorate the Create and Play area.

Party hat making with Time and Talents – Fizzy family fun making decorated party hats to add that extra festive feel to your outfit.  Once you’ve made your hat, you can also get creative making Crafty Beasts in the park using a range of craft materials.

Free face painting – add some sparkle to your visit with our team of face painters. Come along for rainbows, tigers, or just heaps of glitter and glitz. Let your imagination run wild!

Meet Tootles and Nibs – can you spot Tootles and Nibs, the neon safari explorers with their bag full of tricks, games and challenges suitable for all ages?  They’re hard to miss!

Kids Dig It – Come and have a go at being a real archaeologist with Southwark’s Heritage team.  Find buried artefacts, identify what they are and discover more about the ancient stuff that’s under Southwark’s streets.

Celebrating Youth: Talks and workshops exploring DIY culture with the Museum of Youth Culture
Make a zine
using photographs from the museum’s archive to show what you think youth culture will look like in the future. Don’t forget to bring your own photos along to include in your zine!
Do you have photographs of your youth? The museum would love to add them to the collection to help tell the story of growing up. Bring them along and the team will scan them while you wait.

3pm to 3.30pm - How to get involved with the Museum of Youth Culture

4pm to 4.30pm - London's Lost clubs

Hats Off! Victorian Hat Making Workshop with Southwark Park Galleries – This year Southwark Park celebrates its 150-year anniversary, and as a nod to the fashion trends of the time, Artist Alexa Lowe invites you to make our own Victorian hats with feathers, ribbons and paper birds. Come and get crafty and add another feather to your cap!

Decolonising The Archive (DTA) - DTA invites you to look at archives in a new way. View some fascinating archive films and get advice on how to become an archive investigator. You can also join in with archive handling mystery games, where you’ll gather information from archive collections and debunk some old historical myths!
