Event Details

Residents will be taken through a 7-week game which raises activity levels and makes them feel part of their community. Residents are then supported into longer term activity via communication and signposting to local activities such as Parkrun, zumba classes, healthy eating groups etc.. The game begins on Wednesday 19 September and runs until the 7 November. 44 Beat Boxes will be positioned around the area in key popular locations and members of the public will tap their fob on the boxes to register points across the area. Six distribution centres have been established to pick your fobs –The Castle, Peckham Leisure Centre, Peckham Library, Camberwell Library, Pembroke House and Giraffe House. All primary schools within the four wards will be provided with fobs for all children (+1 adult/child). Beat The Street is being delivered by Intelligent Health on behalf of Southwark Council, Guy's and St Thomas' Charity and Transport For London.
