Food and Fun Programme Fund

About the programme
Southwark Council has been awarded funding by the Department for Education (DfE) to co-ordinate the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) across the borough of Southwark. The programme will deliver free activities and healthy food for school aged children and young people aged 4 to 16 years old and eligible for and in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals (FSM) during the Easter, summer and winter school holidays from 2022 to 2024.
We want our programme to help local families who are in need of additional support to get free, healthy food and fun activities.
Each programme will provide:
- free, fun nutritious and tasty food
- fun physical activity sessions
- a wide range of other exciting activities to suit different ages and personalities
- opportunities to learn more about food and nutrition for children and their families
We're inviting holiday providers such as schools, voluntary, faith and community organisations to apply to be part of the council’s Approved Providers List for the Food and Fun programme (which is the council’s HAF programme). Interested providers are able to apply to be part of the list at any time during the duration of the list. Applications to the Approved Providers List will be evaluated once per year during this period.
Applying for funding
Organisations wishing to apply for funding to run holiday programmes must become approved providers.
An information session was held earlier in the year where the holiday programme team went through the application process. To request a link to view the recording of this session, email HAF@southwark.gov.uk.

A series of documents need to be submitted by email to the holiday programme team in addition to completing this form. Please read the information in the documents below before starting your application.
