Surrey Square Park Playground Refurbishment

Southwark Council is pleased to announce the redevelopment and redesign of the Surrey Square Park Playground. As part of this exciting project, we're inviting local residents to share their ideas and help shape a new vision for this valued community space.

Thanks to secured funding, we'll be investing in new playground equipment and landscape improvements to transform the area into a vibrant, inclusive and modern play environment for children, young adults and families.

The project will deliver:

• A complete redesign and replacement of the existing play area
• A welcoming, inclusive, and safer playground that is accessible to all
• Modern play equipment suitable for children with disabilities
• Improved pathways and enhanced landscaping
• A high-quality facility that meets the needs of local families

Public consultation will begin shortly and is expected to run throughout summer 2025. Updates will be posted on this page as the project progresses.
