Salem Academy of Music

Salem Academy of Music

Salem Academy of Music (SAM) is one of the UK’s leading music academies with a long-standing and reputation for providing the highest quality training to young people and interested adults. We offer intensive practical training where all our trainees receive a minimum of two hours of teaching each week for 37 weeks in the year. St Giles

St Giles

We help people held back by poverty, exploited, abused, dealing with addiction or mental health problems, caught up in crime or a combination of these issues and others. We show people there is a way to build a better future – for themselves and those they care about – and help them create this through support, advice and training.

London Community Kitchen

We have a catering trailer that provides students with the ability to enter the catering business whilst providing entrepreneurial skills and assisting in community functions with events on a non-profit basis. We have obtained an independent community café. This café provides the first step for qualified students to enter the commercial catering industry increasing their CV status and getting valuable work experience skills in all areas required to run a business including cooking, cash flows, bookkeeping, purchasing, customer service skills, barista skills and much more.

Bermondsey Community Kitchen

In his acceptance speech, the Mayor stated his desire to concentrate on community engagement. He's looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead and will work hard to raise awareness and support for the charities appeal this year.

The Mayor announced Mrs Itunu Ajeigbe, as his Mayoress for the year. Councillor Naima Ali was appointed as the Deputy Mayor.
