SEND grants for workshops, trips and events

Apply for funding to support workshops, trips and events for young people with special education needs and disabilities

After you've applied

If you're successful

We'll write to you to tell you what funding you'll receive. We'll ask for confirmation of important details. This will include: 

  • confirmation that you have all of the mandatory policies and certifications in place (we may ask to see these at any time)
  • a signed copy of the conditions of grant funding

If we have not worked with your organisation before, or your registered address or financial details have changed, we will ask you for:

  • evidence of your Companies House registration or your Charities Commission registration if applicable (a saved PDF of the live registration webpage is fine)
  • evidence of your VAT registration number if you are VAT registered (a saved PDF of the webpage is fine)
  • a letter sent from your organisation confirming your registered address, email address, phone number, and bank details (this needs to be on letter-headed paper and sent via email as a PDF)

Annual grant payments will be made before projects begin each year. 

Annual report 

All successful applicants should provide us with a brief report on an annual basis. This should include:

  • a description of the activities
  • the numbers that attended
  • the impact on local families

This can be a short written report, presentation or video.

Advertising activities

All successful applicants must list their activities on our online short breaks booking platform. If you have any difficulty adding your activities, help is available. 

As part of the registration process on the booking platform, young people (with support if needed) must provide information so: 

  • we can check eligibility
  • providers can plan support   
  • that provision is allocated fairly

Where a young person, parent or carer is unable to use the booking platform, they will be given the option to register directly with the provider another way (such as over the phone).
