Get on the approved safe contractor list
Register as a safe contractor to work on council contracts.
Many council contracts for suppliers, services and works are awarded to contractors on pre-approved lists.
Contractors on our approved lists are evaluated based on:
- our standards
- technical capability
The evaluation includes financial, equality and health and safety assessments.
Being on the approved list:
- reassures the council that minimum standards are met
- saves firms having to re-apply for contracts to meet that standard
