Brexit and business

Find out about our new relationship with the EU, what it means for businesses and where to go for further information, advice and support.

What Brexit means for your business

As we settle into our new relationship with the EU, governed by the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement, it’s essential that all businesses understand what the new relationship means for them.

If you haven’t already done so, we advise that you visit the government’s Brexit: guidance for businesses pages. These will help you understand the new rules that apply to your business and the actions you need to take.

We also recommend that you visit the Mayor of London’s Post-Transition Business Resource Hub. Here you can access lots of information to help you make sense of the new relationship and what it means for your business, including:

  • simple guides on the various aspects of the new agreement, such as employment, trade in goods and services, data, travel and recruitment
  • sector-specific guides, covering construction, hospitality and leisure, professional and business services, manufacturing, retail, and tech, creative and fashion
  • Brexit blogs, covering the EU Settlement Scheme and the new immigration system
  • support from specialist advisors
  • events and webinars, covering a range of different topics

It would also be advisable to register for email updates from HMRC, specifically ‘trading with European Union (EU)’.
