Ordering a copy of a certificate

We can only provide birth, death, marriage and civil partnership certificates that were registered in Southwark from 1837 to the present day. You can order certificates online using our secure online payment service.

Please note we can only issue certificates for events that have taken place in Southwark.

Certificate fees

£11 for any certificate

We accept all major debit and credit cards and cheques (payable to London Borough of Southwark).

Allow 5 to 15 working days for your certificate to be produced and sent out. If you urgently require a certificate, we will do our best to accommodate you as quickly as possible. However, we do offer an express certificate service which is only available in person.
