Equipment, adaptations and assistive technology

Equipment update August 2025

NRS Healthcare have experienced financial difficulties and will soon stop trading. We have arranged for a new company to provide community equipment to support people to stay safe and independent at home.

NRS Healthcare provided community equipment for 21 boroughs in London, including Southwark. They provided bath lifts, grab rails, commodes and other equipment to assist daily life. We know this may be concerning to residents who need this service, but we want to reassure you that services will continue.

If you're currently receiving or expecting equipment, there’s no need to worry, we will contact you if anything changes.

If you have any urgent issues with moving and handling equipment that has broken, such as a profiling bed or hoist, please contact Adult Social Care OPPD on 020 7525 3324.

Equipment to help with daily tasks

If you struggle with day to day tasks at home there’s equipment that can help.

Gadgets and adaptations can help with your safety and independence. For example, bath boards, or raised toilet seats can make going to the bathroom easier.
