Allowances
Councillors get an allowance of £14,592 per annum. This is based on guidance decided by London Councils, and updated annually at council assembly in March.
Councillors who take on extra roles are also entitled to a Special Responsibility Allowance (SRA). The SRAs are in 7 bands and range from £3,346 for roles including deputy leader of the opposition, to £60,431 which is paid to the Leader of the Council.
We have to publish details of any allowances paid to councillors for the last financial year, along with details of the allowances scheme which applied at that time. This also includes details of subsistence, travel and carer's allowance.
