Interpreting Service

Free interpreting at one stop shops

To improve access to information and council services for customers who do not speak English, the one stop shops provide an interpreting service using a telephone conference with professional interpreters and a customer service officer. The service is free, with no need for the customer to book an appointment and the interpreter can be on the line within seconds.

• The Peckham One Stop Shop is located on the ground floor of Peckham Library at 122 Peckham Hill Street, SE15 and is accessible from Peckham Square.

    Buses: 12, 35, 40, 45, 68, 468, 171, P3, P5 

• The Walworth One Stop Shop is situated at 151 Walworth Road, SE1

    Buses: 63, 78, 381 stop outside. 12, 36, 171, 312, P12, P13 stop nearby

• The Bermondsey One Stop Shop is located at 17 Spa Road, SE16. Trained customer service officers are able to process job requests, provide updates on progress as well as assist with enquiries in relation to council services.
