Current consultation
The council is currently undertaking a fundamental review of the housing strategy with the intention of publishing a new housing strategy in 2009. We have a detailed plan for consultation over the coming year. We are currently in the first stage of consultation which is an open key issues style consultation. This stage will run until around October 2008.
To have your say, please complete this questionnaire and send it to us using the freepost address provided. You don't need a stamp.
Stage 2 will be developing a draft strategy and consultation document. This stage will run from November 2008 to March 2009.
We have been consulting some specific communities over the past couple of years such as the Bengali and Somali community. We will be planning similar events over July 2008 to October 2008. We will put the details of these up as soon as we know the dates. We will also be attending community councils over the next couple of months and sending out consultation information to those who have registered interest in the past.

Feedback on previous consultations
The council's housing strategy 2005 to 2010 was developed through extensive consultation with residents and partners. We are very grateful for all the comments received.
