Management Information and AnalysisWe provide a range of analyses and management information tools for councillors and senior managers in children's services, school managers, head teachers and governors.
Our aims
The over riding aim of management and information analysis (MIA) is to enable our customers to evaluate the impact of their activity on the lives of children, and to provide information about what the outcomes are, or are likely to be, for the children involved.
The team
MIA is structured into three teams, each with a team leader supervising that area of work. The three teams cover
- Data collection, validation and quality assurance
- Storage and management of information flowing from collections
- Research and analysis team covering children of all ages to young adults
The team also provides training in the interpretation of data and the development of management information tools and reporting. We can also advise on conducting surveys with young people and responding to ad hoc information and regular performance indicator requests. MIA work closely with Southwarks' health and social care to provide an overall picture of children's services.
Requesting information
To request data or statistics on the children's services department, you should contact the records manager who deals with Freedom of Information Act requests. Find out more about the school records we hold.
