Working together

We are committed to working together in partnership with other boroughs, organisations, businesses, schools, universities and community groups to support and promote cycling.

Cycling Joint Steering Group

The Cycling Joint Steering Group (CJSG) is Southwark council’s key cycling stakeholder group. Representatives from Southwark council, Southwark Cyclists, the local London Cycling Campaign group, RoadPeace, Living Streets, Twenty is Plenty, Better Bankside and Wheels for Wellbeing participate as part of the early engagement process. Meetings are held every two months. You can view the latest meeting minutes (pdf, 26kb) or the agreed terms of reference (pdf, 33kb).

Metropolitan Police

We are working with the Metropolitan Police to reduce cycle theft and road safety. The police run regular events on cycle security.

Better Bankside and Team London Bridge

We work closely with the Business Improvement Districts to improve conditions for walking and cycling. To find out more about cycling in your area visit Better Bankside or Team London Bridge.

Southwark Cyclists

The local chapter of the London Cycling Campaign and Southwark council work together on cycling issues and the promotion of cycling in Southwark. Southwark Cyclists organise a number of events throughout the year, including Dr Bikes.
