Project details

Redevelopment and part conversion of the southern part of Peckham Square to provide a mixed use scheme comprised of two buildings, 4 and 6 storeys, to provide: 19 residential units, gallery space,  co-work  space, and flexible retail  or office space (‘Application Scheme’). The Application Scheme provides ancillary residential and commercial space.

In 2014

  • December 2014 - November 2015 a series of public workshops were held which invited members of the local community to share their views on proposals to develop the site; feedback from these workshops was used to inform design proposals developed by  Carl Turner Architects
  • the council held their first public consultation in December

In 2015

  • the council held a second public consultation in January which gave the opportunity to present the revised designs back to the community
  • the council held a public exhibition in March presenting the final proposal that would be submitted to planning

In 2016

  • the council submitted a planning application in July 2016
  • in November planning committee gave a resolution to grant planning

In 2017

  • in April, Clarion Housing Group entered into a partnership arrangement with the council to deliver Lot B

Next steps

  • early 2018, Clarion will commence works to remove the Peckham Arch
  • early 2018, Clarion will tender for contractors to deliver the scheme
  • early 2018, Clarion will take handover of the site from the council so works can begin on the development
