What happens after you comment on an application
We will acknowledge all emails and all letters with an email address by a return email and letter acknowledgements.
Contact us if you want to check if your letter has been received. Please allow five days after your letter was sent for it to be entered on our system.
If you wish to be notified when a planning application is modified or has been decided, you will need to ‘track’ the application using your Public Access for Planning account. Guidance on how to track an application can be found on this Planning Register: search for planning applications page.
If you don’t opt to track the application, we will not normally contact you again unless the application:
- is to be decided by the planning committee or sub-committee; or
- is significantly altered or withdrawn.
As we get many comments about planning applications we can't enter into individual correspondence or discussion.
