The open space at Greendale in East Dulwich / Camberwell came back into council management on 21 January 2018, after a long lease to a third party.

Minor works have begun to make the site safe and accessible. Pathways, bins and benches will be installed. The majority of the site will be left how it is. For more information please download the plans (pdf, 1.1mb). The works are due to be complete in the autumn of 2018.

The Friends of Greendale are an active community group who love the space for it’s unusual wild appearance and ecological value. It has been proposed for designation as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) in the New Southwark Plan.

A management plan (pdf, 5.1mb) has been produced to guide the management of this new public park in the short term, while we consider and consult on it’s long term future.
