We are excited to announce the completion of the second phase of works at St Mary’s Churchyard Park. The re-designed park is located between three major new developments in Elephant and Castle - the Castle Leisure Centre, Highpoint Tower and One The Elephant, and has been significantly upgraded to introduce a stunning ornamental pond and paved water jet plaza. With a new playground installed in the park early last year, works to the Eastern section of the park began in Autumn 2016. The new pond is surrounded by wildlife planting and includes a central water fountain.  The plaza provides new seating set around a raised, water jet feature with multi- colored, interactive spot lights. The area will remain closed to the public for the next few weeks to allow for the new planting to establish and a formal opening event is planned for this spring.

Sunday June 25th saw the BMX track in Burgess park play host to a round of the 2017 South London BMX race series. Over 300 riders attended from all over the South of England. Under threatening skies and with a stiff wind blowing racing was fiercely contested in all age groups from under 6's to over 50s. Our resident BMX club Peckham BMX took some notable wins including the hotly contested 17-29 year old male category. Rain held off for another great event at the track.

In October over 1,000 participants had fun racing at the BMX Track London, and that’s excluding visits by our resident Peckham BMX Club. For Rock Up And Ride sessions there is no need to book, but make sure you get in touch to find out how you can get accredited first.
