Record breaking year for A-levels in Southwark
Published 20 August 2010
With almost all of the borough's A-level results in, Southwark's students look to have had a record breaking year.
Some 500 students, from eight schools, academies and a college sat post 16 exams this summer.
Around 1,000 A-level exams were taken with:
- 18 percent of results gaining the top grades of A* or A.
- 75 percent gaining a grade C or better.
The average grade reached by our students this year was a grade B, which looks set to be borough's best ever result.
Congratulations to all our pupils on completing your exams.
