Southwark is backing a cycle safety awareness event to be held on 18 January.
The Tate Modern is the location for event and cyclists can pop down to the Tate Modern between 7.30 - 10.30am and receive expert cycle safety advice.
Training will be provided by Cycle Training UK and the Metropolitan Police and cyclists will have the chance to sit in a lorry drivers cab and see where they need to be in order to stay safe, have their bikes looked over and security marked for free.
The event has been organised by Better Bankside, a business - led regeneration body and supported by Southwark Council, Tate Modern, mace, Balfour Beattty, Metropolitan Police and Keltbray.
Councillor Barrie Hargrove, cabinet member for transport, environment and recycling said:
"Cycle safety really matters at Southwark and by offering our support to this awareness event we are demonstrating a strong commitment to this transport issue.
"I strongly recommend that cyclists living in our borough take the opportunity to increase their knowledge on cycle safety and receive useful tips and advice."
Cyclists can book a place on the event by emailing ss@betterbankside.co.uk.
