Brenchley Gardens estate residents in Dulwich will enjoy new long lasting, black galvanised and powder coated sphere top railings, which were unveiled last Saturday 10 April.
With funding of £55,000 from Southwark Council, the new fence replace the old rusty, bent railings along the 400m long boundary of Brenchley Gardens estate.
John Martin lives nearby Brenchley Gardens estate and applied for the funding for special reasons: "My late father worked as a blacksmith for Southwark Council and he maintained and repaired damaged iron work, so I had a strong personal motivation for wanting to see the railings put back into a good state."
