Plans for an Examination in Public review session
Published 7 March 2011
Plans for a wider review session involving the Mayor of London's office, other Boroughs, interest groups and residents.
A review session was held following the completion of the core strategy examination hearings during which the potential for a wider review session involving the Mayor of London's office, other Boroughs, interest groups and residents was discussed and the Inspector raised this with the Planning Inspectorate.
The Planning Inspectorate has recently met London First to discuss their experience of the London Plan examination in public. This was a useful session which facilitated an informal discussion about ways we can share experience, learn lessons and improve the examination process.
Following this, the Inspectorate is currently giving some consideration to holding a wider session to engage interested parties in discussion on both the London Plan examination and the 24 core strategies which have been examined (including those in progress) for the London Boroughs.
No date has yet been confirmed for this. If you are interested in being involved in any such event, please confirm your interest with Mr Rynd Smith, Director Development Plans, Policy and Quality at Temple Quay House, Bristol 0117 372 0117 372 8958 (secretary).
