Coldbusters

You may be eligible for a Coldbuster grant for up to £5,000 for some heating and insulation improvements. To be eligible, you must be a home owner and your house must include one or more of the following:

• Older people
• People with a long term illness or disability
• Families with young children
• On a low income or receive benefits.

Here are ways a Coldbuster grant can help you save money:

• A new central heating system or heating boiler can save you £100 a year
• Upgrading heating controls could save you £60 a year
• Cavity wall insulation could save you up to £160 a year
• Fully insulating your loft could save you £200 a year and topping up to 270mm could save you £60 a year
• Draught-proofing gaps and open chimneys can save you £30 a year.

Warm front

Do you receive any benefits?
