Free energy advice
re:new - energy efficiency programme
We are working with the Mayor of London and Climate Energy to deliver re:new, a free energy efficiency advice and improvement service to residents living in East Dulwich and Nunhead wards.
With re:new, residents in East Dulwich and Nunhead will be able to receive the following package for free:
- A home energy survey and advice to help you save money on your bills.
- A benefit check to ensure you are receiving all the benefits and grants you are entitled to
- A range of free energy saving devices worth up to £100 including:
- Low energy light bulbs
- Radiator panels
- Energy display monitor
- Water efficient showerhead
- Hot water tank insulation
- Draught-proofing
- Save-a-flush toilet devices
- Shower timer
The energy expert will spend about an hour in your home to show you exactly where your home is losing energy, and the simple changes you can make to save money.
The energy expert will also investigate whether other energy efficiency measures such as loft, cavity and solid wall insulation, or renewable energy measures, could be installed. You will also be able to find out if you are eligible to receive insulation for free or at a subsidised cost from £99.
Representatives from Climate Energy will be knocking on doors in East Dulwich and Nunhead over the coming weeks to ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from this free programme.
They will carry photographic identification and will be Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked. Do not let anyone into your home if you are at all unsure. Instead, call Climate Energy on 0800 054 6814 to check the identity of the caller and book an appointment at a time to suit you.
