Energy efficiency

The council has set a target to reduce carbon emissions in the borough by 80 percent of current levels by 2050. Reaching this target will be a challenge but we can all do our bit.

We work with homes, schools and businesses across the borough, so why not look at the Energy Efficiency and Sustainability pages for advice about what you can do.

One small change today makes a difference, so join the big switch off

By making small changes to the way you use energy can help you save money and reduce your carbon footprint. We have created a virtual home with hints and tips about what you can do.

Small savings can make a big difference. If every household in Southwark turned their heating down by 1°C, the saving would be £6.8m across the borough.
