Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how and when Southwark Council involve the community in the alteration and development of town planning documents and applications for planning permission. This ensures there is effective community involvement in the planning process.

The SCI must be complied within all of our planning processes including the agreement of planning documents and the determination of planning applications.

The SCI was adopted by the council on 29 January 2008. The SCI is now a legal document and part of our Local Development Framework (LDF).  We will be reviewing the SCI in 2010.
