Saved policies
The Southwark Plan was adopted in July 2007. As part of preparing the core strategy we set out a document stating which policies will be saved, and are consistent with the core strategy, and which policies have been replaced by the core strategy.
This document was submitted to the Secretary of State and agreed on Friday 23 July. You can view the formal notification letter for the saved policies and the saved Southwark Plan policies.
The core strategy only contains policies which are strategic in nature and does not repeat policies in existing documents such as the London Plan. Issues in which the core strategy has no policies but are policies in the London Plan and Southwark Plan will continue to apply.
