Preventing abuse in Southwark
Southwark Council is committed to supporting local people to live a life that is free from harm and abuse.
Staff supporting vulnerable adults follow our safeguarding adults policies and have ongoing professional training to support them in this demanding area.
We also work in close partnership with the Metropolitan Police and neighbouring boroughs.
Our community safety and enforcement team runs several schemes to support local residents and offers advice and support to victims of abuse. For more information contact 020 7525 5777.
Southwark's community warden scheme provides a visible reassurance for the community. Our 85 uniformed staff are based across Southwark and aim to build closer communities by making local people feel more at ease in the area in which they live.
The CCTV team plays a vital role in crime prevention and detection as well as raising public confidence and feelings of safety. For more information, please contact 020 7525 5846
